How does LED work?

LED, or light emitting diode therapy, is a skincare treatment where we use varying wavelengths of light, including red, blue and infrared. Red is primarily used for anti-aging, blue is used for acne treatment and infrared is used to calm inflammation and rosacea.

Who is LED for?

You may be a candidate for LED light therapy if you have these types of skincare concerns and haven’t gotten the results you want from over-the-counter skin products. LED therapy is also safe for all skin colours, and it doesn’t cause any burning.

Talk to our clinicians about your skincare concerns and whether LED light therapy is a good option for you.

How much does it cost?

Dental & Skin Clinic Led Facials
We recommend to pair it with our bespoke facial. It’s $299 when combined with our bespoke facial which includes the following:
Dental & Skin Clinic LED Facials Microdermabrasion
Dental & Skin Clinic LED Facials Microdermabrasion
Dental & Skin Clinic LED Facials Microdermabrasion

How does my face look afterwards?

Your face will look pink (as if you’ve been out in the sun for too long). This is because the treatment makes your skin cells turnover faster and increases blood circulation in the skin. In a few hours the face will go back to its normal colour.

Can I go back to work afterwards?

Absolutely! There is no downtime.

How often should I be getting LED treatment?

We typically recommend to get professional LED therapy once per month. We may recommend you to come once a week for the first 4 weeks, followed by once per month if you have a partial issue that you want addressed, such as rosacea or acne.

How long does the LED treatment go for?

The LED therapy alone is 30 mins. Plus we need 10 mins to cleanse and prep your skin and 10 mins to nourish and moisturise your skin.
